ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether Thai Foot Massage can help people with peripheral neuropathy caused by type 2 diabetes. Peripheral neuropathy can cause pain, numbness, and difficulty in feeling sensations in the feet. In this study, researchers will give Thai Foot Massage to participants every other day for 15 days and compare their results to a control group that won’t receive the massage. They want to see if the massage improves feelings in the feet, increases movement, and reduces pain related to neuropathy.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be between 40 and 65 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. They should not have any foot ulcers or amputations, and their blood sugar levels should indicate that their diabetes isn't well-controlled. However, people with other serious health issues or conditions that could interfere with receiving a foot massage safely will not be included. If you qualify and choose to participate, you can expect to receive the massage treatment while contributing to important research that may help others with similar conditions in the future.
