ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into the effects of delaying elective surgeries, particularly for patients with urological conditions. Researchers want to understand how postponing these operations affects patients, especially regarding their mental health and any complications that may arise. The goal is to find out ways to help patients cope with the challenges that come from having their surgeries pushed back.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for an elective surgery in the Urology department. Unfortunately, if you cannot give consent or if you require emergency surgery, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to share your experiences regarding the impact of the surgery delay, which will help doctors learn how to better support patients in similar situations in the future. This research is important as it could lead to improved care and strategies for managing the difficulties caused by surgery delays.
