ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different numbers of topics in educational videos can affect the oral health of preschool children. The researchers want to find out if videos that cover a wide range of topics about dental care, like brushing teeth properly, the effects of sugary foods, and dental cavities, can improve children's knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding oral health. The study will include 124 children aged five to six years old who can understand Malay and meet certain other criteria.
Participants in the study will be divided into groups, with some watching videos that cover multiple topics and others watching a control video. The trial will measure changes in children's oral health over four weeks, looking at things like plaque buildup and gum health. The study will take place over six months at a preschool in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, and aims to help improve how young children learn about taking care of their teeth.
