ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well a special type of scan called Low-Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) can find early-stage lung cancer in patients who have chronic lung diseases, compared to the standard chest x-rays. The goal is to improve the chances of detecting lung cancer early in people who are at higher risk due to their existing conditions, which can lead to better treatment outcomes.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 45 years old and have a chronic chest disease, but you cannot already have a lung cancer diagnosis or be in a critical condition that requires intensive care. If you join the study, you will undergo LDCT scans and potentially help researchers learn more about how to detect lung cancer earlier in people like you. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it’s an important step toward understanding how to better care for patients with chronic lung issues.
