ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is examining a new way to treat hallux valgus, a common foot deformity in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. Hallux valgus can make it difficult for these children to walk and participate in daily activities, often leading to the need for surgery. The researchers want to explore how specific exercises and movements guided by physiotherapists can help improve this condition in its early stages, hopefully reducing the need for surgery in the future.

To participate in this study, children aged 9 to 16 who have been diagnosed with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and who can walk independently may be eligible. They should have a mild form of hallux valgus and not require any assistive devices to walk. Throughout the trial, participants will engage in an exercise program tailored to help correct their foot deformity. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into non-surgical treatment options for children facing this challenge.
