ClinConnect Summary
The Precision Care Initiative is a research study aimed at improving cancer treatment by using precision medicine, which tailors care to each patient's unique needs. This study will take place at the Precision Care Clinic within Prince of Wales Hospital. The goals are to design and test a new model of care that combines the latest research with everyday healthcare practices. The study will also evaluate how well this new approach works for patients and how it can be expanded to other healthcare facilities in the future.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be at least 18 years old, speak English, and have been referred to the Precision Care Clinic. They should also be able to give informed consent, meaning they understand the study and agree to participate. Throughout the study, participants can expect to share their experiences through surveys and interviews, which will help researchers understand the impact of the new care model on their treatment and overall healthcare experience. This research is an exciting opportunity to enhance cancer care not just at one hospital but potentially across many others.
