ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to help doctors find and identify polyps in the colon during a procedure called a colonoscopy. Polyps are growths that can sometimes become cancerous, so it's important to detect them early. The researchers want to see if AI can make it easier to spot these polyps and determine whether they are harmless or potentially harmful. They will also compare different AI systems to see if some are better than others at detecting these growths.
To participate in the study, you need to be over 50 years old and scheduled for a colonoscopy that isn't an emergency. Unfortunately, if you're under 50, have not properly prepared your bowel for the procedure, or have certain medical reasons that prevent a biopsy (a test to check for disease), you won't be able to take part. If you join the study, you can expect to help researchers learn more about how technology can improve the detection of colon polyps, which could lead to better outcomes for patients in the future.
