ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different types of reminders can help orthodontic patients take better care of their teeth and gums. The researchers want to see if sending reminders about oral hygiene—like brushing and flossing—can improve how well patients follow their dental care routine while they have braces or other fixed appliances.
To participate in this study, patients should be between 40 and 73 years old and have all their natural teeth. They need to be starting orthodontic treatment and should already have good oral hygiene without any gum disease. Patients who have had previous orthodontic work, have certain health conditions, or have cavities will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to receive different types of reminders about caring for your teeth and to share your experiences with the research team. Your participation could help improve oral care for future patients undergoing orthodontic treatment!
