ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the UDFF Performance Evaluation, is studying a new method called Ultrason Derived Fat Fraction (UDFF) to measure fat in the liver in patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The goal is to see how well this new method works compared to the traditional MRI scans that are currently used for measuring liver fat. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 65 to 74 years, and anyone who has had both a liver ultrasound with UDFF measurements and an MRI for liver fat quantification between January 1, 2022, and September 31, 2023, may be eligible to join.
If you qualify for the trial, you can expect to provide information from your previous liver imaging tests. It's important to note that individuals with certain liver conditions, such as chronic liver disease from other causes or advanced liver disease with serious complications, are not eligible to participate. This study is an opportunity to help researchers understand better ways to assess liver fat, which can contribute to more effective treatments for those with NAFLD in the future.
