ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects women's voices. PCOS is a common condition that can cause various symptoms, including changes in voice due to hormone fluctuations. Researchers want to better understand these voice changes by analyzing the voices of women with PCOS compared to women who do not have the condition.
To participate in the trial, women must be between certain ages and meet specific criteria. Women with PCOS will be included if they have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries through an ultrasound. On the other hand, women with regular menstrual cycles and no signs of PCOS will also be included for comparison. However, some women may not be eligible, such as those with a sensitive gag reflex, those who smoke or drink alcohol, or those who experience certain throat issues. Participants can expect to undergo voice analysis to help researchers learn more about how PCOS affects vocal characteristics. This study aims to fill the gap in understanding the relationship between hormone levels and voice changes in women with this condition.
