ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a condition called cubital tunnel syndrome (CuTS), which occurs when the ulnar nerve in the elbow gets compressed, causing pain and discomfort. The researchers want to find out how well two imaging techniques—ultrasound (US) and shear wave elastography (SWE)—can help diagnose CuTS and determine the cause of the nerve compression. They will compare the results from these imaging tests with other methods, like electrodiagnostic tests (ENMG) and findings from surgeries, to see if they can accurately diagnose and assess the severity of the condition.
To participate in this trial, you should be between the ages of 3652 and 27393 and have been diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome by an orthopedic doctor. It’s important that you have already undergone electrodiagnostic studies, which are tests that check how well the nerves are functioning. If you are eligible and choose to participate, you can expect to undergo the imaging tests and possibly surgery if it is deemed necessary. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve how doctors diagnose and treat this common nerve condition in the future.
