ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a special virtual reality program can help nursing students learn more about dementia, a condition that affects memory and thinking. The goal is to see if using virtual reality can improve students' knowledge, attitudes, and empathy towards patients with dementia. The trial will involve 50 second-year nursing students from Hacettepe University, who will be randomly divided into two groups. One group will participate in the virtual reality program, while the other will continue with their usual lessons.
To be eligible for the study, students must be at least 18 years old, in their second year of nursing school, have internet access, and have never participated in a virtual reality training for dementia before. Throughout the study, participants will complete questionnaires about their knowledge and feelings towards dementia before and after the program. This research aims to enhance nursing education by better preparing students to care for individuals with dementia.
