ClinConnect Summary
The INDAGA-UK trial is a study focused on understanding salivary gland cancer, particularly in patients whose cancer is advanced or has come back after treatment. Researchers will look at tissue samples from patients diagnosed with this type of cancer between 2013 and 2023 to learn more about the disease’s characteristics and identify potential new treatments. The study will take place at multiple centers over a period of two years, with the first year dedicated to collecting and selecting samples and the second year for analyzing the data.
To participate in this study, individuals must be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of salivary gland cancer. They should also have tissue samples available from their diagnosis. However, patients with other types of head and neck cancers or thyroid cancers will not be eligible. Participants can expect to have their tissue samples analyzed to help researchers gather important information that could lead to better treatment options in the future. It’s worth noting that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to make significant contributions to understanding and treating salivary gland cancer.
