ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the psychological effects of Ebola Virus Disease in people living in the Mubende District of Uganda. Researchers want to help those who are experiencing significant emotional distress related to Ebola by offering a special mental health program called Ebola+D. They will first screen participants using a simple questionnaire to identify those who might need support. If someone scores 6 or higher, they will be invited to join the program, which aims to address their mental health concerns over 12 months, with follow-ups at three different points to see how they are doing.
To take part in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, live in the Mubende District, and be able to speak either English or Luganda. If you have a score of 6 or more on the questionnaire, you might be eligible, but even if you are a survivor of Ebola, you can join regardless of your score. Participants can expect to receive ongoing support and care to help them cope with any psychological issues they may be facing due to their experience with Ebola. This study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone is welcome, regardless of gender.
