ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Strengthening Community Mental Health," is looking at a program called COPE, which stands for Communities Organizing for Power through Empathy. The goal is to see how this program can help adults in communities that have recently faced disasters or are at risk of them. Researchers want to find out if the COPE intervention can improve individual mental health, enhance coping skills, increase feelings of social support, and boost the overall resilience of the community. They will compare the results of those who participate in the COPE program with those who attend regular house meetings.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be 18 years or older and either staff or members of an organization that is part of Together Baton Rouge. If you join, you will take part in three sessions of the COPE program. The trial is currently recruiting participants, and all genders are welcome. It's an opportunity to contribute to important research on mental health and community support, and your feedback will help shape the delivery of the program.
