ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of two treatment options for people suffering from piriformis muscle syndrome, which causes pain in the hip and buttock area. The treatments being studied are ultrasound-guided steroid injections and dry needling, along with exercises. The goal is to find out which method works best to relieve pain and improve mobility.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 60 years old and have experienced hip pain for at least one month, particularly pain that worsens with long periods of sitting. They should also show signs of piriformis syndrome during specific tests performed by a doctor. There are some conditions that would prevent someone from joining the trial, such as having had hip surgery, certain medical conditions, or being pregnant or breastfeeding. If eligible, participants can expect to receive treatment and be monitored for their progress to help find the most effective way to manage this condition.
