ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain blood tests related to inflammation can help doctors understand and treat critically ill patients with abdominal sepsis. Abdominal sepsis is a serious condition caused by infection in the abdomen, and the goal of the study is to see if these blood tests can help diagnose the condition better and predict how well patients might recover.
To participate in the trial, patients need to be over 18 years old and show specific signs of a systemic inflammatory response, which means their body is reacting strongly to an infection. They must also have a confirmed diagnosis of abdominal sepsis. However, patients with certain blood disorders or other severe health issues that could affect their recovery will not be included. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it’s important for potential volunteers to stay informed as it progresses.
