ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an Augmented Reality (AR) app can help children with cerebral palsy (CP) become more physically active. The trial will involve children who are able to walk independently (classified as GMFCS I-II) and will last for 12 weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the AR app for their exercise program or follow a standard exercise routine with printed handouts. Before and after the program, participants will complete surveys about their activity levels and quality of life, helping researchers understand the impact of the AR app.
To be eligible for this trial, children need to be diagnosed with cerebral palsy, able to walk (GMFCS I or II), and speak either English or Spanish. They should not be planning any lower body surgeries in the next four months. Throughout the study, participants will keep a log of their exercises to track their progress. After the trial, the control group will also get access to the AR app, allowing everyone to benefit from this innovative approach to staying active.
