ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how family-based therapy (FBT) for anorexia nervosa affects family dynamics and relationships between parents and their children. The researchers want to understand if this treatment, which is designed to help young people with anorexia, might have any negative effects on how families function together. The study is currently looking for participants, specifically children and adolescents who have recently been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and are living with at least one parent who can provide consent.
To be eligible for the trial, participants need to be between the ages of 4 and 17 and must speak Danish, as the study is based in Denmark. Families who choose to participate can expect to be involved in therapy sessions aimed at treating anorexia while also being asked about their family interactions and relationships. This trial is important because it aims to ensure that treatment for anorexia not only helps the individual but also supports the overall health of the family.
