ClinConnect Summary
The Code of Respect (X-CoRe) trial is a study aimed at preventing sexual assault and sexual harassment among active duty Airmen. Specifically, it will test a program designed to improve understanding and attitudes about respectful relationships, enhance skills for safe behaviors, and encourage bystanders to take action. The goal is to reduce the occurrence of these harmful behaviors and improve overall unit cohesion and readiness by addressing issues like alcohol misuse and mental health concerns.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be active duty Airmen stationed at Joint Base McGuire Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, belong to one of the designated Air Force squadrons, speak English, and have access to the internet. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the X-CoRe program or a control group that does not receive the intervention. Throughout the trial, they can expect to engage in activities that promote respectful interactions and learn valuable skills for preventing harassment and assault in their environment. This study is currently recruiting participants from all ranks E1 to E4 within the Air Force.
