ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a treatment for people who have a high frenal attachment, which is when the tissue connecting the lip to the gums is positioned very close to the teeth. The study will test whether combining a free gingival graft (a small piece of gum tissue taken from another part of the mouth) with a procedure called frenotomy (which involves cutting the frenulum) can help improve the width of the gum tissue, reduce the chances of the problem coming back, and enhance healing after the procedure. Researchers also want to understand how much pain patients experience afterward.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 40 years old, in good health, and have good oral hygiene. They should not smoke or have any conditions that might make healing difficult. Importantly, this study is not yet recruiting participants, so there is no need to apply just yet. If you meet the criteria and decide to participate when it starts, you could contribute to important research aimed at improving dental care for patients with similar conditions.
