ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how personalized music playlists can help reduce agitation in people with dementia. The researchers want to see if an Individualized Music Playlist, which includes a person's favorite music arranged in a special way, is more effective than just playing their favorite music or the usual care they receive. This study aims to find a better way to help individuals with dementia feel calmer and more comfortable.
To be eligible for the trial, participants must live in long-term care facilities and have a diagnosis of dementia along with noticeable agitation. However, people who have been at the facility for less than three months, are taking part in other studies, or have certain other health issues won't be able to join. If you or a loved one qualifies, you can expect to listen to music that is specially chosen for you, and the researchers will observe how it affects your mood and behavior. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to find new ways to help those experiencing agitation due to dementia.
