ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the effects of a specific treatment called Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) on people with Upper Crossed Syndrome, a condition that often causes neck pain and poor posture. The researchers want to see if combining this treatment with traditional physical therapy can help reduce pain, improve neck movement, and correct posture over a four-week period. Participants will be randomly placed in one of two groups: one group will receive the new treatment along with standard therapy, while the other group will only get the standard therapy.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be between 18 and 45 years old, experience moderate neck pain (rated between 4 and 8 on a pain scale), and have specific postural issues, such as a forward head position and increased curvature of the upper back. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into effective treatments for those struggling with neck pain and posture-related issues. Each participant will attend three sessions per week for four weeks, where they can expect a supportive environment focused on improving their symptoms.
