ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special Tai Chi exercise program can help improve lung function and mental health for patients recovering from certain types of lung surgery. The program lasts for eight weeks and involves family members in the exercise sessions, which focuses on simple movements to help patients regain strength and well-being after surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 65 and 74 years old, must have undergone specific lung surgeries like lobectomy or wedge resection, and should be able to walk independently without any serious health issues. Importantly, participants should also be able to communicate in Chinese or Taiwanese. Those who have recently practiced Tai Chi or have certain health conditions will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in gentle exercise, which may help them breathe better and feel more positive during their recovery. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to gather valuable information about the benefits of family involvement in rehabilitation after surgery.
