ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific part of the brain, called the cerebellum, affects our feelings of fullness or satiety after eating. Researchers are using a safe and noninvasive method called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to stimulate the brain and gain insights into how it helps control appetite. The study is looking for healthy adults aged 18 to 65 who have a body mass index (BMI) between 20 and 35.0. Participants should be in good health, have normal vision, and be willing to understand and sign a consent form to take part.
If you join this trial, you can expect to undergo TMS sessions, which involve placing a magnetic coil near your scalp to gently stimulate the brain without any discomfort. It’s important to note that individuals with certain medical conditions, eating disorders, or those currently on weight loss medications are not eligible to participate. This study aims to improve our understanding of how the brain influences eating behaviors, which could eventually help with obesity treatment.
