ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the impact of a special therapy called "dignity therapy" on cancer patients. The goal is to see if this therapy can improve the quality of life and reduce feelings of depression in patients who are in the advanced stages of cancer. The study will involve 48 patients who are receiving care at the Meram Medical Faculty Hospital. To participate, individuals need to be over 18 years old, able to speak and understand Turkish, and have a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer with a predicted survival time of less than six months. Those with certain mental health issues or conditions affecting their ability to communicate will not be included.
Participants in the study can expect to be randomly assigned to either the group receiving dignity therapy or a control group. Throughout the study, they will answer questions that assess their dignity and self-esteem. This will help researchers understand how dignity therapy affects their emotional well-being. It's important to note that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there will be no immediate opportunities to join.
