ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well children and teenagers with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) breathe when they are on regular dialysis. The researchers want to see if there are links between how long these patients have been on dialysis and other factors that might affect their lung function. This study will include children and adolescents aged 7 to 17 years who have been on dialysis for at least six months. However, it will not include those younger than 7 or older than 18, as well as individuals with certain health conditions like heart disease, asthma, or those who cannot cooperate during the tests.
If a child or teenager is eligible to participate, they will undergo tests that measure how well their lungs are working. These tests are important for understanding their health and how dialysis might be affecting their breathing. It's important to know that the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but when it starts, it will provide valuable information that could help improve care for young patients with kidney disease.
