ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people in Hong Kong who have trouble sleeping, known as insomnia. The researchers want to see if a stepped-care approach, which combines online self-help tools with guidance from trained therapists, can effectively improve sleep for adults aged 18 to 70 who are experiencing significant insomnia. This method is designed to make treatment more accessible, especially since many people currently have difficulty finding support.
To participate, you need to be a Chinese adult between 18 and 70 years old and have a certain level of insomnia, as measured by a specific questionnaire. However, individuals with severe mental health issues or neurodegenerative diseases that could affect their ability to complete the treatment won’t be eligible. If you join this study, you can expect to engage in a program that helps you manage your sleep issues through both self-paced online techniques and support from a therapist, spread out over several weeks. This trial aims to make effective insomnia treatments more available to those who need them in different districts of Hong Kong.
