ClinConnect Summary
The Bladder Bank study is researching ways to improve early detection of bladder cancer by collecting blood and urine samples from patients who have been evaluated for blood in their urine, a condition called hematuria. The goal is to develop better tests that can help identify bladder cancer sooner, which can lead to better treatment outcomes. This study is currently looking for participants who are at least 18 years old and have undergone tests like CT scans, ultrasounds, or cystoscopies for hematuria.
If you are interested in participating, it's important to know that certain factors may affect your eligibility. For example, you can't have had any other types of cancer (except for some skin cancers) in the last five years, and you should not have previously had bladder cancer that came back or certain other bladder-related conditions. Participants will simply provide blood and urine samples, and the study aims to help advance future testing methods for bladder cancer, ultimately benefiting patients like you.
