ClinConnect Summary
The clinical trial titled "Evaluation of the Consequences of Poly Vaccination on Innate Immunity" is looking to understand how multiple vaccinations affect the immune system of military personnel before they are deployed. Specifically, the study will examine how these vaccinations can lead to changes in the body's natural immune response over time, especially focusing on a type of immune cell called monocytes. This research aims to provide insight into how vaccines not only protect against infections but may also influence the immune system in ways that last longer than initially expected.
To participate in this study, individuals must be French military personnel, at least 18 years old, and scheduled for overseas deployment within 30 to 60 days after their vaccination. They must also be able to give their consent. However, those who have received certain types of vaccines recently, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have specific health issues may not be eligible. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, it could offer valuable information on how vaccinations can help maintain the health of military members during their deployments.
