ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating the effectiveness of ultrasound technology to measure liver stiffness and fat levels in patients with chronic liver diseases, such as fatty liver disease and scarring of the liver. Traditionally, doctors use a liver biopsy, which involves taking a small sample of liver tissue, to assess liver health. However, this procedure can be risky and uncomfortable. The goal of this study is to see if ultrasound can provide accurate information about liver stiffness and fat content without the risks associated with a biopsy.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and suspected to have chronic liver disease based on your medical history or previous tests. You should be willing to give your consent to join. If you take part, you will undergo ultrasound tests during your regular hospital appointments, and the results will be compared to those from traditional liver biopsies and other non-invasive tests. This study aims to find a safer, more comfortable way to monitor liver health for people dealing with chronic liver conditions.
