ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how pelvic floor training can help men who suffer from chronic pelvic pain, a condition that can cause ongoing discomfort and other symptoms. The researchers want to find out if a program that includes special exercises and biofeedback (a method that helps you learn to control certain bodily functions) can lead to lasting improvements in symptoms. Participants will be asked to do these pelvic floor exercises every day for six months, along with some training sessions, while another group will continue with their usual treatment without any changes.
To be eligible for this study, men must be over 18 years old and live in Sweden, specifically diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain syndrome. However, those with certain medical conditions, such as cancer in the pelvic area or issues affecting nerve function, cannot participate. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone who joins can expect to contribute to important research that may help others with similar pain issues in the future. After six months, those in the control group will also have the opportunity to join the training program.
