ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different surgical options for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer: radical cystectomy and salvage cystectomy. Radical cystectomy is a surgery that removes the entire bladder, while salvage cystectomy is done when cancer returns after other treatments. The researchers want to understand how these surgeries differ in terms of challenges during the operation, complications after surgery, and how they affect patients' quality of life.

To be eligible for this trial, participants should be adults diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer that has not spread to other parts of the body. Patients who have already undergone treatment to preserve their bladder but still need surgery, as well as those who are having a radical cystectomy, can join. However, people with advanced bladder cancer that has spread are not eligible. If you participate, you can expect to share your experiences about the surgery and recovery process, which will help improve care for future patients with similar conditions.
