ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring how a special camouflaged dental syringe can help reduce anxiety and pain for children during dental procedures. Many kids find the sight of a traditional dental syringe scary, so this study will compare the reactions of children using the camouflaged syringe against those using the standard one while receiving local anesthesia for dental treatment. The trial will include healthy, cooperative children aged 6 to 10 years who are scheduled for a dental procedure that requires anesthesia on their upper back teeth.

If your child is selected to participate, they will have their heart rate monitored before, during, and after the anesthesia is given. Their levels of anxiety and pain will be assessed using simple rating scales by trained professionals. This study aims to make dental visits less stressful for kids, and it provides an opportunity to test a new approach that could improve their experience at the dentist.
