ClinConnect Summary
The LONGCOVID-EXPERIENCE trial is exploring the everyday experiences of people living with Long COVID. Long COVID refers to ongoing symptoms that persist for at least three months after the initial COVID-19 infection, affecting about one in ten people who have had the virus. This study aims to understand how these symptoms impact daily life, work, and interactions with healthcare providers. By conducting interviews with patients treated at Parc Taulí Hospital, researchers hope to gain insights into the challenges faced by those living with persistent COVID symptoms.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 65 years old, have been diagnosed with Long COVID according to World Health Organization guidelines, and have received treatment at Parc Taulí Hospital. Participants will share their experiences through semi-structured interviews, either individually or in groups. The study is currently recruiting participants, and those who speak Catalan or Spanish are encouraged to join. This trial is important as it seeks to amplify the voices of patients, helping to shape better care and support for those affected by Long COVID.
