ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how virtual reality can help adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis, a condition where the spine curves abnormally. The researchers want to see if using virtual reality to perform core stabilization exercises can improve body awareness, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life for these young patients. The study will involve four groups of participants who will undergo treatment for ten weeks, with evaluations before and after to measure changes in spine curvature, flexibility, pain levels, and emotional well-being.
To be eligible for the study, participants must be between the ages of 10 and 18 and diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. They should not be using a brace or have had any recent scoliosis treatments or surgeries. It's important for participants to be able to attend the sessions regularly and not have any serious health issues that would limit their ability to exercise. If selected, participants can look forward to engaging exercises in a fun virtual reality environment and contributing to valuable research that may benefit others with similar conditions in the future.
