ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different approaches to help prevent chronic migraines. Researchers want to see if an ultrasound-guided procedure called a greater occipital nerve block, which uses either a local anesthetic or botulinum toxin, is more effective than standard medical treatments. Chronic migraines can be very debilitating, and this trial aims to find out which method might give patients better relief from their symptoms.
To participate in the trial, you need to be over 18 years old and have a history of chronic migraines. However, if you have certain conditions, such as using too much headache medication or having specific injuries or reactions related to the treatment area, you may not be eligible. Participants will receive either the nerve block treatment or medical management and will be closely monitored for their migraine symptoms. If you're interested in helping researchers learn more about migraine prevention, this study could be a valuable opportunity.
