ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness and ease of use of automatic tourniquets (AUT) compared to standard mechanical tourniquets (CAT) for controlling bleeding in healthy adults. The main focus is to find out if AUTs can stop blood flow as well as CATs and if they are easy to use for soldiers in active or reserve service. Participants will be asked to apply both types of tourniquets on their arms and legs, and researchers will check how well each tourniquet works and how simple it is to use them.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be soldiers currently serving or in reserve. However, individuals with certain conditions like muscle or nerve disorders, skin diseases on their limbs, recent limb surgeries, rickets, or high blood pressure cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to try out both tourniquets and provide feedback on your experience. This information will help determine if automatic tourniquets could be a good option for managing severe bleeding in military situations.
