ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking to understand how women feel about managing an infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can sometimes lead to cervical cancer. Since March 2020, a new screening test in Scotland detects HPV infections directly instead of just looking for abnormal cells. Most HPV infections don't cause any symptoms and often go away on their own, usually within a year. However, some women may feel anxious after finding out they have an HPV infection and might consider treatments that aren't officially approved yet.

To participate in this study, women need to be between the ages of 25 and 64, non-pregnant, and English-speaking, with a specific type of HPV infection. Participants will share their thoughts on potential treatments and what factors matter to them when making decisions about their health. This study aims to help doctors better understand women's concerns and preferences regarding HPV and to improve communication between patients and healthcare providers. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there's still time to learn more if you're interested.
