ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the way doctors dress affects the trust patients have in them. Researchers want to understand what patients think about different styles of physician attire, such as whether doctors should wear formal clothes or scrubs. To do this, they will ask eligible patients in a medical-surgical unit at LLUMC to fill out a survey sharing their opinions and preferences regarding how their doctors look.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, currently admitted to the hospital under the care of an internal medicine physician, and speak either English or Spanish. Unfortunately, if you have significant mental impairments or difficulties with hearing or vision that would make it hard for you to complete the survey, you won’t be able to take part. If you join, you’ll help researchers better understand how clothing choices can influence the doctor-patient relationship, which is important for improving care and communication in healthcare settings.
