ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to monitor Crohn's disease (CD) in the small intestine using a method called Small Intestinal Contrast Ultrasound (SICUS). Unlike other imaging techniques that require radiation and more invasive procedures, SICUS is less invasive and doesn't involve radiation, making it a safer option for patients. In this study, researchers want to see if SICUS can accurately identify issues in the small intestine, similar to other methods like Magnetic Resonance Enterography (MRE) or Computed Tomography Enteroclysis (CTE), but in a simpler and more cost-effective way.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a patient with known small bowel Crohn’s disease who requires monitoring due to symptoms or treatment changes. The trial is open to patients aged 18 and older, and you will undergo the SICUS procedure on the same day as a standard MRE or CTE. This will help researchers compare the results and see how well SICUS works. Keep in mind that some individuals may not be eligible, including those who are pregnant, extremely obese, or have certain health conditions that would make the imaging difficult. If you join, you can expect a straightforward process aimed at improving how Crohn's disease is monitored in the future.

- Exclusion Criteria:
- • Obese patients with poor ultrasound window
- • pregnant/lactating mother
