ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new treatment called Group Battlefield Acupuncture (BFA) for older adults with chronic lower back pain (cLBP). Chronic lower back pain is a common problem, especially for people over 60, and it can greatly affect daily activities and overall quality of life. The trial aims to see how well this ear-based acupuncture technique works for older adults living in continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and whether they feel comfortable and satisfied with the treatment.
To participate, individuals must be over 65, live at the Oaknoll Community Center, and have a diagnosis of chronic lower back pain. They should be able to move around independently or with assistance. Participants can expect to attend group sessions where they will receive BFA treatment and share their experiences. The information gathered from this trial will help researchers design a larger study to further test this treatment for older adults with chronic back pain.
