ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Connecting Friends and Health Workers to Boost COVID-19 Vaccination in Latino Communities," aims to discover the best way to encourage more Latino adults to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Researchers want to find out if training friends and family members to use a technique called motivational interviewing—where they listen and guide conversations about the vaccine—helps increase vaccination rates better than just providing general information about the vaccine. They are also looking into what factors make it easier or harder for Latino communities to get vaccinated.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old, identify as Hispanic or Latino, and live in Maryland. If you have already received at least one COVID-19 vaccine in the last year, you can help others who are more hesitant about getting vaccinated. If you haven’t received any vaccines in the past 12 months, you can join as someone who is more uncertain about vaccination. Participants will learn about the study and what to expect, and their experiences will help improve vaccination efforts in the future.
