ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how following a Mediterranean diet—rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats—might affect children's dental health, specifically their gum health and risk of tooth decay. The researchers believe that children who eat a Mediterranean-style diet will have healthier gums and fewer cavities compared to those who do not. This study is currently looking for children between the ages of 3 and 14 to participate.
To be eligible, children must be healthy and not have any chronic conditions like diabetes or allergies, and they should not have undergone certain medical treatments such as chemotherapy. Participants will be asked to agree to take part in the study, and they will help researchers understand how diet influences dental health. This is an important opportunity to learn more about how what we eat can affect our smiles!
