ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how specific exercises can help male fast bowlers who have a condition called scapular dyskinesis, which affects the movement of the shoulder blade. The study involves 26 players aged 21 to 30 who have been bowling for at least 1 to 2 years. They are divided into two groups: one group will perform exercises designed to stabilize the shoulder blade along with stretching a specific muscle in the chest, while the other group will do general shoulder exercises and stretch their shoulder muscles.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be male bowlers aged 21 to 30 with a dominant side affected by scapular dyskinesis. It's important to note that those with past serious injuries or certain medical conditions affecting the arm won't be able to join. Participants can expect to engage in either targeted exercises or general shoulder workouts over the course of the study, helping researchers understand which approach may be more effective for improving their shoulder function.
