ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of a treatment called Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy for women who have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) after experiencing lymphedema following a mastectomy. CTS can cause symptoms like wrist pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand, which can be especially bothersome. The trial is looking for female participants aged 40 to 60 who have had these symptoms for at least three months and have lymphedema in one or both arms.
If eligible, participants will receive the therapy over four weeks, and their experience will be closely monitored. To participate, women must not have any infections in their hands or certain medical conditions that could complicate the study. This research aims to determine if this therapy can help relieve the uncomfortable symptoms of CTS, improving the quality of life for those affected. All participants will provide informed consent to ensure they understand what the trial entails and their rights are protected.
