ClinConnect Summary
This study tests whether a 120-minute school workshop about consent, reciprocity, and sexual violence can increase teenagers’ knowledge and improve their attitudes, with the goal of reducing experiences of sexual harassment or violence. It’s being run in secondary schools around Uppsala, Sweden, using a cluster randomized design where entire schools are assigned to either receive the workshop now or wait and receive it later. About 600 students aged 15–18 are expected to participate.
Participants will complete surveys before the workshop and then again about 5–6 months afterward to measure changes in knowledge, attitudes, and self-reported behavior related to consent and sexual violence. Students in the wait-list group will get the workshop after the follow-up. The study is led by Uppsala University and Uppsala Tjej- och Transjour, and is an educational evaluation (not a medical treatment). Results are not yet reported, and data will be collected through questionnaires. Eligible participants are students aged 15–18 who are enrolled in participating schools.
