ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at different surgical methods for treating hemorrhoids, which are swollen blood vessels in the rectal area that can cause pain and discomfort. Specifically, the study will compare two techniques used during open hemorrhoid surgery: one using a traditional 'cold' scalpel and the other using electrical tools. The goal is to see which method results in better recovery and fewer complications for patients.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with symptomatic hemorrhoids needing surgery. They should not have other serious anal or rectal diseases and must be in good overall health according to certain medical guidelines. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo one of the two surgical techniques, and researchers will follow up with you one week and one month after the surgery to gather information on your recovery. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you're interested, it could provide valuable insights into the best ways to treat hemorrhoids effectively.
