ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring the use of a special virtual reality (VR) program designed for stroke patients. The aim is to see if this engaging and interactive VR experience can help improve physical abilities and overall quality of life for those recovering from a stroke. Participants will receive this VR treatment along with standard rehabilitation care to compare its effects on disability and various physical and cognitive functions, like hand strength and balance, against those receiving standard care alone or with a different VR system.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be adults aged 65 to 74 who experienced a stroke within the last 7 to 14 days. They should have been able to function independently before the stroke and have some movement difficulties in their arms or legs. However, individuals with serious communication challenges, severe cognitive issues, or certain medical conditions may not qualify. If you or a loved one is interested, the trial is currently recruiting participants, and joining could provide a chance to experience a new approach to recovery while contributing to important research.
