ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how changes in breathing patterns (known as respiratory variability) can help identify patients at risk for complications after lung surgery. Many patients experience problems with their breathing after they leave the recovery room, so finding ways to spot these issues early can improve their care. In this study, patients who are scheduled for lung surgery, such as removing a lobe or the entire lung, will have their breathing patterns monitored using a special device that measures chest movement before and after surgery.

To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have signed a consent form agreeing to take part. There are no specific health conditions that would exclude someone from participating. If you join the study, you can expect to have your breathing measured in a non-invasive way, which means it won't involve any uncomfortable procedures. This trial aims to improve the understanding of how to better care for patients after lung surgery by using simple measurements of breathing health.
